HIMCR #98--Faux Linen Technique

You know what stinks?  When your pretty pink Dell laptop dies.  You know what else stinks?  Spending 7 days at the hospital with your father because he has a surprise triple bypass at the age of 52.  Yep.  So that's why my absence has been quite extended.  FYI...I'll be in Wisconsin for 11 days at the end of this month.  My DT posts will post every Saturday morning and I'll be back to regular posting the first week of June.  So, let's get on with it.

It's time for Hiding In My Craft Room's 98th blog.  That means we are close to 100!  Just wait until you see what week 100 brings!  Anyway, this week we all tried the faux linen technique.  While it is time consuming, I really enjoyed trying it!  Since it is graduation season and I have a total 5 cards to make, I used this week to make a card for cousin Paige.  I really hope she likes it!

Supply list:

Prima jewels
Stampin Up Glossy Paper
I used the edge of a the poly silk fabric to create the trim.
Core'dnations cardstock
I raided dad's fly tying supplies for the feather.  lol!
Studio 112 stamp
Studio G ink

Hints:

This can be very messy.  Make sure your work space is clear of everything that could get "messed up".
Use a thick paper.  I found it worked best with glossy paper, but rumor is you can use any paper!
