HIMCR Challenge #95: Mother's Day!

I know.  I'm a slacker.  I haven't posted since last week.  Baseball season is kicking me in all different directions!  Here is the Hiding in My Craft Room Challenge #95!  This time, we are focusing on Mother's Day.  This also could have been a super scraps Saturday challenge for me as well!  I made this card for my children to send to my mother in law.  I hope she likes it!

Chevron Paper:  My Mind's Eye--Boy Crazy
Cardstock:  Bazzill
Washi Tape:  We R Memory Keepers

I used embellishments from my "randomness" box, which means I have no idea which company they came from!

HIMCR Challenge #94--Banners!

It's banners week at HIMCR!  Ok...I have never used banners.  In fact, I could have really cared less about banners before this challenge.  To me they sounded like a waste of time, but I'm always up for a good challenge.  So my thought was bring it on!  Confession.  There's a good chance I'm now in love with banners.  The banner set I did on this page was a bit big.  If I had to do it again, I'd make it smaller and put a robot on the page.  But it's still way cute!

Paper:  My Mind's Eye--Boy Crazy
Cardstock:  Bazzil Smoky and Flat Broke
Bakers Twins and buttons were bought in bulk

HIMCR Challenge #93--Super Scraps Saturday!

It's Super Scraps Saturday over at Hiding in My Craft Room!  It's a chance to get rid of scraps that you just can't bring yourself to throw away.  Would you believe that all of my scraps were from Authentique, except the glitter.  I love using paper from the same designer, but from different lines!  Their hues tend to stay the same and you don't worry about having to match reds or yellows.  I hate matching reds and yellows.

Bulk Craft Cardstock
Patterned Strips:  Authentique (Seasons: Spring, Spring Three; Uncommon: headlines; Splendid: Richness)
Chipboard is heat embossed

Don't forget to hit the designer button on the right side of the page and visit Hiding In My Craft Room to enter this week's challenge!  The winner will get a $25.00 gift certificate from scrapbookpal.com!

It's Shopping Time!

WOOHOO!  Today is drop off day for leaders at Rhea Lana's of Joplin.  This means I get to get all of this stuff out of my house.

I estimate that it's about $400.00 worth of clothing, shoes, and a few toys.  If I sell 100% of it, I'll make $300.00 after my 30% that goes to the sale.  Not too shabby!  Now, I won't see a check.  Why?  Yeah...I spend it all.  After all, I will have 2 kids to buy summer and school clothes for and a baby that needs 12-18 month AND 18-24 month clothes before the next sale.  I also need 2 sizes of shoes for each child, at least 2 pairs a child.  It is very overwhelming to shop for all of that in 2 days total.  My hope is that I will pay little to no money out of pocket.  I'll give you an update next Wednesday on pickup day!

Hiding in My Craft Room Challenge #92: Pink, Green, Yellow

I am honored to be a part of the Hiding in My Craft Room design team!  My 6 month term started on Monday.  You should follow the Hiding in My Craft Room blog.  Each week there is a challenge.  Complete the challenge, link your photo (you can submit 3!), and you are entered for a prize!  You never know what Laurie will come up with!

Here is my pink, yellow, and green project.  Once I got the papers picked out, I knew exactly which photos had to go on the page!  I'm not a great card maker, so you'll notice that I do more layouts than anything else.  I don't often use yellow, so this was quite the challenge for me!
